Duotone rose

I am trying out new things in photoshop. This original is actually very nice but i am a bit tired of red roses si i wanted to do a b/w one. That is kind of tricky in photoshop though since the option to just desaturating gives a really flat image with no definition at all. This one is first made b/w in the channelmixer then i added a duotone and changed levels a bit. i am still not perfectly happy with it. Colour photos are a lot more forgiving with things like DOF then b/w are. the center waterdrop is fuzzy and it irks me! still, it was fun and i learnt lots from it.
